Trunk or Treat this weekend in West Union

Trunk or Treat this weekend in West Union

Everyone better be sure to have their costumes picked out and their candy bowls fully stocked because Halloween is just around the corner! We’ve got you covered for all you need to know about upcoming Halloween fun and activities, including local trick-or-treating dates and times.

West Union

West Union’s Trunk or Treat will be held Sunday, Oct. 17, from 2 to 4:30 p.m., around the Courthouse Square.

There will be games for all kids in costumes starting at 2 p.m., and the Just For Kicks Dancers will be performing.

Trunks will be open for “treating” starting at 3 p.m. When you hear the siren that will signal the beginning of trunk and treating.

Those wanting to set up a trunk should contact Jessica Sadler at 319-480-3206.

The Fellowship Church will be serving hotdogs.

Elgin

Elgin’s Trunk or Treat is Sunday, Oct. 31, 3:30-5 p.m., in downtown Elgin.

There will be games, cookies, hot cocoa and cider.

Volunteers are still needed to help run games and hand out cookies and cocoa.

If you would like to volunteer or have a trunk, contact Abbie Peterson or Cindy Torkelson through the Elgin Community Betterment Facebook page.

Fayette

Maple Crest Campus Halloween Spooktacular (100 Bolger Drive) is Saturday, Oct. 24,  from 2 to 4 p.m.. 

Fifth graders and younger are invited to show off their costumes to the residents and tenants by parading outside Maple Crest Campus. The Grind coffee truck will be onsite to sell coffee. Anyone willing to donate candy, or monetary donations towards candy, can contact Janice or Angelique at 563-425-3336.

The City of Fayette Trick or Treating is Sunday, Oct. 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to participate in the traditional door-to-door trick or treating in Fayette. If you would like to participate in handing out treats, please turn your porch light on between 5 and 7 p.m.

Hawkeye

Hawkeye Trick or Treat is Sunday, Oct. 31, 4 to 6 p.m.

Clermont

Trick or treaters will go out from 4 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31. Following that, the Halloween Party will be at City Park from 5 to 7 p.m.

This will include trunk and treat, costume contest, prizes and games.
